Object of the Game

  • Trap ghosts by uncovering all adjacent tiles.
  • Take care to avoid clicking a hidden ghost.
  • You have a total of 3 minutes to work your way through three levels.

Surround the Ghosts

  • To track down a ghost, click one of the tiles on the board.
  • If you click on a ghost during your first turn, then a joker will automatically be used.
  • If you click on an empty tile, then it will show you how many ghosts are surrounding it, including those that only touch the cleared tile with a corner.

Logic will Lead to Victory

  • You can only figure out where the ghosts are hiding by employing skill and logic.

The "2" shows you that 2 ghosts can be found beneath the 8 surrounding tiles.

GhostSweeper one
This "1" is already bordering on a ghost with its top, left corner. Therefore, you can uncover the three tiles below it without any danger.

The "2" tells you that there are still 2 ghosts hiding in the surrounding tiles. Therefore, it would be quite risky to simply click on any of the surrounding tiles in the picture

  • You have a total of 3 minutes to solve all three levels.
  • The further along you are, the more ghosts will be hiding on the board.

  • Each uncovered number-field will bring you immediate points. The points are calculated as follows: Points = Number x 10. Example: If you uncover a field with a 3, then you will receive 3 x 10 = 30 points.
  • Each uncovered ghost will bring you 200 points.
  • As soon as you complete a level, you will receive 250 joker-bonus points for each joker that you did not use.
  • If you successfully complete all 3 levels, then you will receive 10 additional bonus points for each remaining second.

Using the Jokers

  • If you would like to use a joker because you are unsure as to whether a ghost is hiding beneath a tile, then click on one of the pumpkins on the left side of the screen.
  • When you move your mouse over the game board, the area the joker will uncover will be marked. When using the joker, there is no danger of stepping on a ghost.
  • If there is a ghost within one of the tiles, then you can continue playing. Please note that you will note receive any points for ghosts uncovered using a joker.
  • Once you complete the level you will receive 250 Bonus points for each unused joker.
  • On the right side of the screen, you can see how many jokers you have left in the current level.
